Red Tinned Treble Hooks: VMC 9649 pattern trebles are short shank, wide gape with a smaller than average barb. Made from high carbon steel, are relatively thin wire but extremely strong. The
thinner wire makes them better penetrating and I have personally changed over to this pattern hook on all my personal pirks and have found my hookup rate when wrecking has literally doubled.
On pike lures / hard baits these hooks tend to make the lures almost self hooking with very little pressure needed on strike for a successful hookup. Also when used as a tail hook on the
natural Sliders and Fatsos there is just enough reflection / glint on a sunny day to make them look like red fins and several of us have found that this improves strike rate by up to ten
fold. In short I can highly recommend these hooks from personal experience.

Jellyworm Hooks: High carbon content, wide gape Aberdeen pattern, partially forged, fine wire but immensely strong micro-barb. Suitable for use with Peeler crabs, livebaits and jellyworms. These hooks are perfect for catch and release.

VMC Barbarian Jighooks: Arguably the world's strongest hook. We use these hooks to manufacture our own jigheads. They are not cheap but they will never let you down, suitable for the biggest fish.

Double Hooks: The Double Ryder hook
is extensively used on the continent for live / deadbaiting for eels and zander. The hooks are brazed at 90º with the smaller being used to secure the bait. This also gives a far less bulky hook arrangement, much better for getting a small live / deadbait into a small
mouth.
Please note these are continental sizes which are smaller than UK sizes.

Double Limerick hooks, apart from being used extensively in Salmon and other game fishing are also used on Sosy's and can be purchased as replacement hooks.

Weedless Hooks: Below are a selection of weedless hooks. The crank necked O'Shaugnessy and Rig n' worm hooks are for Texas rigging jelly worms and other soft baits. The weed guarded
hooks are the same as found in the Felmlee frog and other US weedless baits. The term "weedless" applies to hard stemmed weed such as rushes, lily's, water cabbage etc.

Circle hooks - This particular brand of circle hook (VMC long line 9788) does not
have a welded eye. Each packet differs in quantity because of the size:
5pack x 8/O, 3pack x 12/O; 2pack x 14/O
When purchasing circle hooks remember they are measured across the widest part of the gape. For example when ordering an 8/O, the hook actually
looks like a very thick wired 4/O and so on up the scale. The general rule of thumb is to use a circle hook of twice the size you would use say an Aberdeen or O'Shaugnessy.
