Ultralites: In the US ultralite lures are considered to be lures of less than 7g. In the UK we consider ultralites
to be lures of less than 10g. Contrary to popular belief ultra lites are not just for small species and trout poaching. Indeed at certain times of the year, when most predators are fry feeding,
it is perfectly possible to catch large fish on ultralites.
Ultraliting is also a terrific method for catching Mackerel and in most situations an ultralite with a single lure can actually outfish a beachcaster with six feathers.
