Unhooking Mat: Here we have an excellent piece of kit at a very small price, made from easy clean
multi-weave nylon with a polyethylene foam core, well padded to protect the fish.
As you can see from the pictures below when folded it is approximately 24" by 15", and doubles as a very comfortable seat cushion. When opened up fully it is approximately 48" by 36" and
completely covers the bottom of the boat. This is good for two reasons, should the fish get lively once aboard with a smaller mat, said fish can easily injure itself by leaping around in the
bottom of the boat.
The other benefit from a full size mat in the boat is sound deadening. Anything you drop doesn't make the usual booming noise disturbing the fishing. When folded in
half as pictured, the mat can be zipped up either side and used as a weigh sling, so all in all invaluable to the boat
