A: made by Savage Gear to the high standards you would expect from this company, based on high modulus carbon fiber blanks with single leg guides to prevent so far as is reasonably practicable any flat spots, these rods will cast the smallest of weights further than anything else in their class (providing you have your reel correctly loaded). No compromises have been made in their construction: AAAA Portuguese full cork handles and Birds-eye maple reel seats and "bullet shell" balanced butts. These are truly excellent value for the money.

B: The other rod pictured below is manufactured by world famous Singapore company, Surecatch. This rod is 6' in length with a casting weight of 2g to 8g. It also features single leg SIC guides. This is the more delicate rod for finer presentation.

Jaxon Perseus Ultralite:...This is a top of the range 6' 2" ultralite, clearly one of those pieces of tackle that has been designed by an angler with extensive knowledge of the field for which he is designing. This rod is well balanced with the smallest of reels, it is powerful yet soft enough and casts extremely well. While putting this rod through its paces half a dozen members of the LAS all spent some time fishing with this rod and were all equally impressed.
