The UK's largest dedicated lure fishing website
Mannís Seasnake - This is the largest in the expanding range of hybrid baits. The simplest way to describe this lure is a giant Squirlyburt that dives to around 30 foot. The lure comes with two tails, a tube of compatible glue and simple to follow instructions on how to put it together. We have had mixed results so far with pike but this lure has taken some outstanding Dorado and Wahoo and several other big game species. We have yet to try it on the Nile perch but see no reason why it should not sort out the big ones. Prices...
Mannís Magnum Stretch 40+ - Here we have the Mannís 40+, not as enormous as the Giganticus but 30% bigger than a Magnum Stretch. These lures have already accounted for some truly enormous Nile Perch. They come equipped with Eagle Claw 6X open doubles but can easily be fitted with large trebles with the use of a Wolverine triple turn split ring. Prices...
Mannís Magnum Stretch Jointed 30+ - While this lure has been in the pipeline for far too long, at long last we have the combination with the infamous Magnum Stretch combined with the proven fish catching ability of a jointed lure. This particular jointed lure has an exceptionally enticing action being a 75%, 25% breakback lure. For those of you not familiar with the dynamics of a jointed lure the tail section should always be one third or less the length of the main body. This gives it a fast enticing wriggle, perfect for big game, Nile perch and big pike in autumn, i.e. actively feeding fish. Prices...
Mannís Magnum Stretch Holographic - Detail as for Magnum Stretch but colours are holographic.
These lures are long out of production.
Please do NOT order more than one of each colour without first contacting us to check availability.
Iain Ross with a Dorado caught on a Mannís Magnum Stretch
Iain Ross and colleague with another tiddler they caught during their lunchbreak from the drilling rig on which they work.
These lures are among a handful worldwide that are ready to use for big game fish, E.g. Nile perch, tuna etc straight from the packet without split ring and hook upgrades.
Magnum Stretch Holographic can be found here...
Due to their size these lures are best trolled behind a slow-moving boat for our larger predator species such as loch and reservoir pike and sea bass.
Mannís Magnum Stretch -This is the largest of the general purpose lures with a body length of 11Ē and a casting weight of 4ozs. Available in diving depths of 8+, 18+, 30+ and available in the colours displayed below.
Mannís Heavy Duty Stretch This lure has a body length of 8Ē and a casting weight of 7/8th oz and a diving depth of 12+ and 25+. Like the Magnum Stretch these are designed for larger predators and will also handle big game fish straight from the packet.
Magnum Stretch and Heavy Duty Stretch Regular Colours:
A fine condition 20lb Pike caught on a Mannís Magnum Stretch 8+ in Firetiger by Pete Finnis (my boat partner) on Sunday 24th March 2002 on an East Sussex syndicate water.
All Mann's hard baits have a number as part of their name. This number denotes their diving depth in feet.
e.g. The 1-MINUS (when cranked at normal speed) will dive but only just under the surface LESS THAN 1 FT.
The 10-PLUS is designed to dive to just over 10 ft.
The 15-PLUS to 15 ft and so on.
