: So called because this is the most exciting fish we’ve had on them so far. In truth these are great all round poppers, obviously great for pike and anything else that will come up for a splashy surface bait. Built on a 3/O chemically sharpened mustad hook with twin mono weed guard. These can be cast on as light a rod as a 6#wt and they are around 2 1/2” in length and weigh in at just about 1g.
All of these flies can be used in both British and tropical saltwater fishing scenarios to great affect.
Sandeel Flies
: Like Below is a selection of sandeel patterns specially commissioned for Sovereign Superbaits.
Shown below top and bottom view, they are designed to be retrieved with the hook uppermost, helping them to be snag resistant. The epoxy crabs have a body roughly the size of a 1p piece and the larger crabs are roughly the size of a 2p piece.
Crabs
: Like the epoxy shrimps and squid these crab patterns are designed primarily for bone fish but in the right circumstances, i.e. a sandy bottom close to rocks, would prove to be excellent for most UK species.
Shrimps
: Here we have a small range of epoxy shrimps in various colours specifically designed for bone fish but quite honestly will lend themselves to catching just about any saltwater species as everything in the sea eats shrimps and we have caught literally dozens of species on these flies.
Bass Flies
: Below are half a dozen classic baitfish / sand eel patterns, all of which are superb Bass flies. These are lightweight, easy to cast, mostly tied on size 2 hooks, and are the ideal fly for the beginner as well as experienced Bass fly anglers.

Specialist Saltwater Flies
: Below are a superb selection of saltwater flies with varying applications. The deer hair squid are obviously fairly buoyant while the epoxy squid sink quite rapidly. Likewise the calamari are epoxy bodied and also sink quite quickly while the sand eel mylar’s have only a small epoxy bead head which makes them very slow sinking. As with all our flies these have been extensively tested in several countries before going into full production and results all around the world have been stunning.
(2): Here we have eight smaller saltwater flies, all tied on long shank size 4 streamer hooks (except for the white bait which is on a 1/0 off set worm hook). These have been freshly created for when the finesse approach is more important.
: These flies were originally stocked in white only, due to their incredible popularity and requests for other colours, we have responded with a range of five.
These are tied on long shank size 6 streamer hooks with a small amount of weight to help them stay down. They have a maribou wing which streams and pulses in the tide and what can only be described as a mini "red gill" tail. The slightest movement on the line causes this tail to "wag", a great catcher in all situations.
