Bass Assassin: These were originally designed by Lawrence short, but have been copied by all & sundry.
Here we have the two colour combinations that work best in two weights, 30g & 50g both on 5/0 Mustad jig hooks.
They both measure 23cm outstretched & present a nice solid head target for the bass to hit.
They are good for casting or gilling over a wreck & excel when casting in the surf.
I always pack a few of these when heading for warmer climes, they will take all the usual suspects, Jacks, Bluefish, Snook, Tuna etc & they don't break the bank or your heart when you leave one in the reef.
They cast well, are simple to use & the fish love them, what more could you want ?
Sovereign Super Sand Eels: We created these because we saw a gap in the market for a highly flexible "lightly" preweighted sand eel. All the others out there tend to have far too much weight in them. During testing these performed faultlessly, casting long distances effortlessly and staying well off the bottom on the slowest of retrieves. They can be used in deep water or the surf line with equally good results. These are 20cm in length, weigh 20g total and are built round a 6/O black chromed japanese jig hook.
A smaller, lighter model (4" / 10g) is planned for early next year.
Available singly, in 2pack of the same colour and 4pack of the same colour or one of each.
Striper Candy: Here we have a fantastic lure from the states. It is a soft bait intended to be used like a hard bait, i.e. cast and retrieved around the rocks but is also obviously suitable for gilling. These come in 8 colours and 2 sizes, 6” sand eel size and 10” launce size. The 6” are packed in 3’s, the 10” are packed in 2’s.
They are made for us in the States by Reaction Strike. They have an amazing new concept, unlike many other soft plastics which have simply got a hook / jighead moulded in them or inserted in them, these have a hook very similar but much stronger to our mullet hooks. They have a helix coil around the shank. They are then connected to the second hook by 200lb test, 12 strand stainless wire. The helix stops the front hook from pulling loose which also anchors the rear hook so this lure is practically indestructible by European fish. It also has the eyes moulded into the body then the lure is returned to the mould for a final clear coat of soft plastic which prevents the eyes dropping out the first time the lure hits the water as on much cheaper imitations. These have a very subtle action the secret of which is a thin channel moulded into the front third of the underside of the body. We have been fishing with them for about a year and we have taken all the usual species, both salt and freshwater, on these lures. Price...

Gilling Booms: These long plastic tube booms were first brought to us a little over twenty years ago by Roger Bayzand. Lots of people have copied them both successfully and unsuccessfully. Here we have combined slimness with strength which means less drag which equals less weight needed.
Sidewinder Shimmer Eels: These are a great lure for using on a jighead or on a flying collar. They are very useful to your armoury whether bass fishing in the surf or fishing on some of the deep water wrecks over 200' down. With the holographic foil inside they maximise on all light conditions, reflecting and refracting in the dullest of weather. Great fish catchers!
Sidewinder Eels / Rage Eels: These are another in a long line of ready weighted soft baits. In our opinion this style of lure is a superb range of realistic sand eel style lures, some with built-in holographic inserts and some with realistic bait fish patterns for extra fish attraction and all mounted on a Mustad 32786BLN wide gape jighook, supplied ready to fish. Excellent tail action, available in twelve colours and three sizes. This style of bait comes in many guises with even more names. Indeed it is available in the UKunder at least four different names, each is very slightly different to get round the intellectual property rights laws and everyone you speak to claims to have designed it. They all fish well and catch lots of fish so what is in a name?
